Step by Step
How does the done-for-you newsletter process work?
Everyone starts with one edition. You fill a 5-minute async brief, receive send-ready files in seven business days, and decide. Sending, ESP access, and a cadence begin only if you continue.
Brief us — async
5 minutes — happens once
Fill out a short form on your own time. No call to schedule. We ask: who your clients are, the topics to cover (and avoid), your brand colors, and a link to a sample of your existing writing — your blog, LinkedIn, a past newsletter, anything.
That brief becomes the source of truth for your voice. It informs every edition we write, indefinitely. If you want to change something later, edit the brief. Done.
Prefer to talk it through? A 30-minute strategy call is available on request. Otherwise, async is the default — and it's faster.
First edition — send-ready files
Seven business days after complete intake
Our content system monitors primary sources for your industry: regulatory bodies, trade associations, major journals, and government agencies. We pull the most relevant developments and a writer builds a complete edition — typically 500–700 words across 3–5 content blocks.
The draft goes through an editorial review pass for accuracy, tone alignment, and readability. You receive branded HTML and plain text, subject lines, a visual, source notes, and a short editor's note explaining what we covered and why.
One consolidated revision round. Notes come back within 24 hours. We do not send this edition. You keep the files either way.
Continue, or keep the edition
Decide within 10 days
Keep the completed edition with no further obligation, or continue within 10 days and the full payment becomes credit toward the first month. The single edition counts as that billing period's first edition.
Twice-monthly is the default: two letters a month, in your name, to the same clients. Every Tuesday we monitor sources. A draft arrives Wednesday morning. You review in about 15 minutes, send one round of notes if needed, then approve. We send from your ESP on your schedule.
Weekly suits lists that already expect mail on a fixed weekday. ESP setup, scheduling, and sending begin with a recurring plan. Approvals happen over email. You never log into a dashboard.
Content Repurposing
Can you repurpose my existing content into the newsletter?
If your firm produces content — YouTube videos, podcast episodes, blog posts, LinkedIn thought leadership — we treat that as raw material. We watch it, read it, and pull the most newsletter-worthy insights into each edition.
Your audience gets a curated digest of your own expertise, formatted for their inbox. Your existing content gets more mileage. And the newsletter feels unmistakably like you, because it is you.
No Existing Content?
What if my firm doesn't have existing content?
Most of our clients don't have a YouTube channel. That's fine. We source everything from your industry's primary publications: regulatory announcements, trade association updates, journal articles, and government guidance.
The result reads like you've spent 10 hours reading industry news so your clients don't have to — because we have.
What to Expect
What should I expect in the first month?
After complete intake, the first edition arrives in seven business days as send-ready files. You keep it either way. If you continue, twice-monthly starts, we connect your ESP, and we send after each approval.
Intake
Brief, once
You fill the 5-minute brief. We build your voice profile from your sample content. No ESP connection yet. No newsletter sent.
First edition
Send-ready files
Your edition arrives within seven business days. Review it, send notes if needed, approve the files. You keep them. We do not send.
If you continue
Cadence and sending
Continue within 10 days and the payment becomes credit. We connect your ESP. Twice-monthly is the default; add weekly only if the list already gets mail every week.
Month 3
Calibration
Approvals get short. The letter goes out on schedule. Clients reply to you, not to a vendor they have never heard of.
Source Quality
Which sources do you monitor for newsletter content?
Generic business newsletters are useless. Your clients read your newsletter because the content is specific to their world. Here's a sample of what we monitor:
| Industry | Primary Sources We Monitor |
|---|---|
| Accounting & Tax | IRS.gov, AICPA, Tax Foundation, Journal of Accountancy |
| Financial Advisors | SEC.gov, FINRA, CFP Board, Financial Planning magazine |
| Law Firms | ABA Journal, Westlaw summaries, state bar publications, law.com |
| MSPs & IT | CISA advisories, Kaseya blog, Channel Futures, CompTIA |
| Insurance Agencies | NAIC, Insurance Journal, state DOI bulletins |
| HR & Payroll | SHRM, DOL, IRS payroll updates, HR Dive |
| Cybersecurity | CISA, NIST, Krebs on Security, Dark Reading |
| Commercial Real Estate | CoStar, CCIM Institute, NAR commercial, Globe St. |
+ 12 more industries. Each niche has its own monitored source list.
FAQ
What questions do firms ask before signing up?
What happens if I don't like the first draft?
You send us one round of notes and we revise. After a few editions, most firms need few changes — we calibrate your voice from the brief and early feedback.
Can you match our existing newsletter style?
Yes. Send us past editions you like and we'll reverse-engineer the format, section structure, and tone. We've matched everything from formal financial advisory newsletters to casual SaaS roundups.
How do you find the content each week?
Our system monitors primary sources for your industry — regulatory bodies, trade associations, major publications, and court or agency rulings. We write around the most relevant developments for each edition: twice a month on the standard plan, every week if you already send weekly.
What if I already have a newsletter and want to switch?
We can take over an existing newsletter with minimal disruption. Share your template, archive, and subscriber list — we'll match the format and your subscribers won't notice the transition. List access and sending begin only if you continue after the first edition.
How do you handle my subscriber list data?
The first edition is files only. We do not take list access or send. If you continue, we send through your ESP account (not ours), so you always own the relationship and the data. We never store subscriber emails on our systems.
What's the turnaround if I have a change request?
Revisions are completed within 24 hours. If your send day is Friday and you send notes Thursday morning, you'll have the revised edition by end of day Thursday.
The next step is one edition.
Order a single edition and we'll have a complete newsletter in your inbox within seven business days after verified payment and complete intake.
